Whelp folks...we made it through summer here in California.
My sanity was tested only a few times...the good news is...
all the kids are alive and well...and I am not locked up in the mental hospital.
I would say it was a good summer.
School started Monday. A "bitter-sweet" experience for me.
My last little kitten is off to school. "bitter"
Wee Man Bam Bam started Kindergarten this year...
not only did he start Kindergarten, but it is a full day class.
Our new school is one of the ONLY schools in the district that offers a full day class.
Yes...that means I have 6 hours of ME time...That is where the "Sweetness" part comes in.
I am going to have to let you down and tell you...i
t doesn't look like Bon Bon eating and Novelas are in my "ME" time forcast.
Alarm clock screeched at 6am Monday morning...
all the kids got up without a fuss. (SHOCKING)
There was minimal fighting as we headed out the door...
Last year I started taking photos of the kids during the first week of school.
I mean, as parents we drop a lot of money on our kids back 2 school clothing and such.
Why not capture all those favorite outfits the kids love so much.
So for the first week of school I take photos of the kids every morning...
It is also a great way to see the change in expression after day 2 or 3...
Here is Day 1 mommys cell phone photo sesh!
My girl is all about the brightness that Justice has to offer.
Every item she got this year is neon...
Even her Vans...good gracious
Both my boys were all about the hi-top DCs this year.
Reminds me of Kid N Play for some reason...
I am all about layers in clothing...but here in Cali it is just too HOT to even put my poor chitlins
through all that...sorry Gap...we can't be friends.
Yes, this would be my Wee Man..Not amused with what Kindergarten has to offer.
Don't be fooled folks, he had a great first day.
I can not even begin to tell you how happy we all are with our new school.
It makes this mama tear up when I think about how blessed we are to have gotten into it.
Now...brace yourselves...
Imma bout to show you the excitement I had while the kids were away.
My 6 hours consisted of.....
All of this...

I found your blog through Pinterest and I have to say that I love it! Our lives are very similar. My youngest started full day Kindergarten as well so I am home alone too while my amazing husband works hard for the family. I have enjoyed many of your posts. The Lord has been so faithful and gracious to our family and I will enjoy coming back to see your creative ideas!
